Dates available are 23rd, 24th, 27th, 30th & 31st December.
Working hours are 08:00-18:00.
You must be local as no accommodation available.
They are a busy, well established small animal general practice situated just east of Brighton.
They have a friendly team with 6 qualified nurses and 2 trainee nurses. They have a team of 4 receptionists and administrators. Most of their staff work part-time.
On a regular day, they will have 2 receptionists in the morning, and 1 in the afternoon. There are around 4-5 nurses a day working various shifts. They really need some vets to help them keep the practice running smoothly!
The appointments start from either 8am or 8.30am in the morning, (15 minutes appointments) until 11am. They have 2 spacious consultation rooms. At 11am they have a coffee break (with biscuits or cake) for 20-30mins. This is an important part of the day for them, as they use the time to discuss any on goings cases, or plans for the rest of the day.
In the afternoon they consult from 2pm to 4pm. They then have 30 minutes set aside for vet`s phone calls and lab results before consults start again 4.30-6pm.
Operating times are from 8am until 1pm, dominated by neutering, but they also do a lot of dental treatment, lump removals, X-rays etc. Vets take it in turns to do 1st ops/consults 8-11 and 2nd Ops/Consults 11.30-1pm. They have 3 specialists who come in and look at their cases in ophthalmology, endoscopy, and ultrasound scans.
They have separate Dog and Cat wards, Diagnostic room with Xray and Ultrasound machine. They also have a portable Xray machine which can be used for dentals. They are currently investing in a dental Xray processor. The Prep room is used for preparing patients for theatre, dental surgery and any dirty ops. They have in house lab for Comprehensive/Prep/Haematology profiles, and they have RCVS practice standards award.
Client payment terms - 14 working days after receipt of invoice.
