Vet vacancy at a hospital in Somerset.
Salary - £45,000-£55,000 dependent on experience (pro rata).
Ideally full-time but part-time will be considered.
Full-time is 40 hours a week (with weekends worked is a 36-hour week) this will include consult days, theatre days, in patient shifts and a day out at their branch surgery
4-day week with the same day off in the week if preferred
Weekends are worked on a rota basis between the full-time vets (1:6 full weekend, 1:6 half weekend- which may become more diluted as they get more staff)
No OOH as they run their own dedicated out of hours service for the area and no Bank holidays.
Due to their exciting expansion, the practice are looking to grow their team. They are a well-established team who are looking for a friendly and approachable team player to join them.
Ideally, they are looking for someone with experience as they are also a teaching hospital and cater to new graduates.
The hospital and the local branch have top-of-the range facilities and offer a huge range of services.
They are a busy first opinion practice doing 100% small animal as well as a good amount of exotics and wildlife.
They pride themselves on a high level of patient care and have dedicated inpatient shifts for both vets and nurses, so their patients receive optimal care while with them.
They have digital x-ray, dental x-ray, portable and diagnostic ultrasound, endoscopy and laparoscope equipment to name a few! They also have a dedicated night team.
Benefits include 6 weeks paid holiday including bank holidays, with the potential for buy/sell holiday, £1750 CPD Allowance per annum(pro rata), RCVS Membership paid, Two other membership subscriptions, VDS cover, Enhanced paternity, maternity, adoption, shared parental leave and surrogacy pay, Company sick pay.
