Head Vet vacancy at a branch practice in Barnsley.
£90K DOE.
The required working pattern is 4 days a week with 1:4 weekends. No OOH but they do need their Head Vet to be on call if they have any overnight inpatients.
This is a fantastic opportunity to spearhead the continuous improvement of their clinical standards and services and to upskill colleagues to support them in their aim of being a centre of clinical excellence.
The new Head Vet will be a key member of the surgery`s management team. They are looking for someone with a high level of clinical expertise who is passionate about delivering outstanding care. Their ideal candidate will be comfortable in a leadership role with the drive and passion to deliver against a strategic vision, coaching and inspiring their team to consistently deliver gold standard, evidence-based care.
In the team, they currently have 4 RVNs and 2 Veterinary Surgeons, with a graduate joining them in September. One of their Veterinary Surgeons has a clinical interest in exotics, and the other is enhancing her imaging skills, so there`s definitely no shortage of interesting cases coming through their doors! They pride themselves on the training and support they offer to students and they are delighted to say previous students have joined them on a permanent basis once qualified. They are constantly working on new initiatives to support skill gaps and they make sure CPD is continuous and happening across all levels in their surgery.
