We are looking for an experienced vet to join the team. This role will cover approximately 60% small animal and 40% farm animal work. Small animal duties to include consultations, diagnostics and surgery. Farm animal duties to include fertility work, emergency on the day calls, small amount of TB testing.
Your shift pattern will be 40 hours per week between 8:30am and 6:30pm, 4.5 days per week, but this is flexible. Currently the weekend rota is 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, no out of hours.
The practice is a truly mixed practice having three sites; a mixed animal premises, solely small animal and an equine premises also. They have 12 vets working within the practice, one TB tester and fantastic nursing and support staff. The role is to be mainly based out of our mixed premises which is a brand new site that opened April 2024. The site has been fully kitted out with brand new equipment and the lay areas create a good working environment. There are 4 consult rooms, separate cat and dog waiting areas, dental suite including x-ray, imaging room (with ultrasound, endoscopy and brand new DR digital x-ray machine) and both small animal and farm theatres. Use of large animal scanners, bull/ram fertility kit, in house lab, large conference room for farm events/meetings, a theatre and farm recovery pen.
