Salary up to £63,000 DOE, plus Relocation Allowance up to £5,000

This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon looking to work in an equally mixed dairy-beef-sheep practice. There is the option of adding in some small animal and equine work.

An ideal candidate will be a Veterinary Surgeon with a bias for farm work, preferable with 1yrs + experience, but newly graduated Veterinary Surgeons are welcome to apply and will definitely be considered. If the candidate has some interest in equine and small animal work, this can be accommodated.

The standard full-time vet rota consists of a 40-hour week, working 1 weekend in 4 with a long weekend off in lieu the following week. There is an OOH requirement to work 1 night per week on call, in the winter months and 1 night per week every fortnight, in summer months. Although this is advertised as a full-time role, we are open to both full time and part time applications.

This vacancy is for a 3-branch practice, Two branches have a farm animal handling facility. They have all the usual equipment in the main branch for both farm and small animal practice including easy scan/small animal ultrasound, laparoscope for farm, IDEXX lab station, microscope, Ovacte, x-ray, endoscope, ECG, kennelling/stabling facilities, small ruminant operating table, and a horse stock.

You would be joining a team of 6 Veterinary Surgeons of which 4 have 20 years`+ experience, and an enormously dedicated Veterinary Nursing team and Support team.
